I just got back from Kalighat, the Kali temple in Kolkata, next to Mother Teresa's "The Missionaries of Charity", a mind numbing flow of human spiritual fervor driven by the most acute existential desire to be part of life. Here lies a part of the inspiration of my new CD Kali's Son This CD was started here in the former capital of British India. And again involves a close cooperation with my old friend Selvaganesh and the extraordinary sitarist Niladri Kumar who has the truest rock feel of any Indian musician I have ever met, when he stomps on his fuzz box and shreds.
